140 SQM CORSO ITALIA

Milan, IT, 2017

Renovation of an apartment for a young family in the centre of Milan.

The project reorganizes the spaces of a typical 1950's apartment plan, in a more modern and functional way.

The bedrooms are untouched, as the design focuses in the definition of service space as producers of a new plan articulation.

The corridor is interrupted by frequent passages leading to the living room, to the dining room and to the kitchen, so the light can cross the spaces in any direction.
The living area, a former open space, is now divided in a living and a dining area by a bespoke bookcase, to better define the different moments of daily life.
